When Viewing Examples of Student Work:

Often a single example of work may not demonstrate all the required objectives for a particular assignment. Instead students should collectively consider: the required objectives for each assignment, the multiple examples presented on this website and during in class presentations. As well ideas discovered through a student's independent research in combination with various examples and ideas presented by instructor will ultimately be the best approach for synthesizing ideas and reaching the requirements (and unique outcome) for any particular course project. Attendance and participation in all classes and meeting with instructor with Art Assignments in progress well in advance of deadlines will increase chances for desired grade. Absent during Lectures and Presentations?

It is the responsibility of all students to obtain course information missed in class due to absence in class. Students will have to ask someone in the class to borrow their notes or at least get someone from the class to summarize what they have missed. After talking with classmates, carefully reading course hand outs and carefully reading on line course information and reading the assignments missed, if people still have questions that can not be answered from the information presented at the lectures and information given in hand outs and on line then requesting to schedule a meeting would be reasonable.

Keep in mind during the regular academic year the art instructor per term collectively lectures to approximately 260 Mathematics in Art students and can not set up a time to consult with a person (or email a person) every time someone is absent from class.

Saying that, if there is truly a need to clarify assignments (and other course content) for people who are attending all lectures and reading all information given, the art instructor can set up a meetingPeople may schedule an appointment with instructor via email or preferable to meet after class, as well usually the art instructor will require reasonable notification time which includes any weekend emails requesting to schedule a meeting the proceeding Monday.
